Steve joined the company in a role as Head of Digital with the main goal of marketing Gokhale Method’s in-person private and group courses in January 2020. Shortly after Steve joined the company, Covid-19 hit the company hard and made all in-person teaching impossible for the foreseeable future.
In reaction to the pandemic, Steve worked hard with the whole team to create compelling online offerings from scratch. Steve was part of the strategy team, designing these offerings. In his marketing role, Steve was responsible for the creation of the landing pages of these offerings, creating content for our email newsletters to advertise these offerings, and the creation of teaser and testimonial videos.
Steve was also a part of the APP development team for our PostureTracker wearable. He worked on the UI and UX for the APP, designed and conducted user feedback research surveys and collaborated with our APP developers and teachers using the APP.
Since summer 2020 Steve supported the fundraising campaign for a randomized controlled trial (RCT) about the Gokhale Method at Stanford University. Based on his support we were able to take the RCT from a discussion to a reality with more than $250,000 collected in donations.
Our existing Online University program was boosted by the email-based campaigns (including open days and additional rewards) Steve directed. We gained 20 percent new subscribers during Steve’s time at the company.
During the pandemic, Steve also took the lead on marketing the Online Workshops to corporate customers. Even given the hard and unpredictable economic situation, Steve was able to land several online workshops with new corporate customers, all large, Silicon Valley-based corporations.
Steve’s contributions to Gokhale Method Enterprise were significant and greatly valued. Steve’s professional attitude and open, honest manner made him a pleasure to work with. We wish him well in his future endeavours.
